More Celine
So, after much time photoshopping I have come up with the photos that I like. Please let me know what you think. Are they too dark? Should I have gone the opposite way and blown out the backgrounds rather than darken them? I like the fact that the model stands out in the photos, but maybe if we shoot together again, I can go a different way and make the backgrounds match/complement the model better (not that I had much of a choice inside the convention hall, sigh...). Thanks for the shoot Celine, I hope to work with you again in the future.

Celine
Here is a photo of a girl with awesome style. I saw her walking by at Fanime, and thought of a acquaintance of mine, Jesse Bodas of Destroy Inc. If you don't know who that is, google Destroy Inc. I will warn you that his site is in the rated R age range. I really enjoy his work and hope to be able to shoot a style similar to it. This is just the first photo that I finished, with such a busy school/work schedule, I am limited editting time. Hope you like it. More to come.

Fanime 2009: Bumblebee
So recently I went to an Anime Convention, Fanime '09 in San Jose, and I had a blast. I took well over 1,000 photos, and plan on spending the better part of the summer photoshopping them and uploading to this site. It was quite the event and had TONS of people to take photos of. There will be a mix of just regular walk around photos of costumed people and some that are more studio portraitstyle. I hope that you will enjoy them.
If I have time I will upload a photo of the gear that I had with me during the weekend, which weighed a ton. If you were at the convention, then I was the photographer with the flash that was posted on a rod/light stand extended over his head. What was weird was that a couple of photographers at the event wanted to take my picture... Well, that is cool...
On to the Photos! To ease things into play I thought I would take another car shot that was a little different than what I am used to. It was just some of the walk around shots that I have taken. If you couldn't tell, or just read the sign, they are cosplaying Bumblebee from "Transformers". "Great Job !" to the Cosplayer, and If you want larger photos, just send me an email. I hope that I did the costume some justice.

First Photo Post
Seeing how I am back into photography because of BMW, I figured it would be good to start by posting photos that I have taken for them. Here is just two of the few that stood out from the rest. They are the "usual" photo that is taken for an ad spot for the three series, I believe this was a 328i Coupe. *Note: I left the badge on the windshield on purpose.

A new start
Well, this is something new. I never thought that I would be blogging, but I guess this is a good way to get photo's on the net, and to keep in touch with friends. I will need to try to find time to keep updating, and to actually go out and take photos. I am no where near where the strobbist is, but I do hope to surpass him someday and be able to help others with photography questions. If you don’t know who that is just google: “strobbist“, and you will find out. I do have plenty of experience with cameras though, and the equipment in order to get jobs done. Hopefully, I will be able to get some shoot some models off this blog.
