Poke Poke Mon

PokGir-2

This is for all you "Pocket Monster" fans out there!  It is a gijinka pokemon.  I've not watched the show in years, so I do not actually know which monster she is cosplaying, but it is super cute... Ok, if you know, then please tell me!  That way I can post up who she is.  Umm... it actually goes for the cosplayer as well.  If you know who she is, then please let me know, and I will put up the appropriate credit.

The cosplayer is lugiamania, and she is cosplaying Skitty!

It is a super cute character though.  I love the maid look.  HEHE! =) The color coordination is very nice too, and she blended the human and monster very nicely.  The photos were taken in an interesting location at the San Jose Convention Centre, but it was a bit of a hassle with tons of photographers jumping in behind me, and not realizing that their flashes were killing me!  At least these photos are decent.  I'm going to hide the next time that I take a model / cosplayer aside.

This was fun, and she was great at taking directions!  Hope that you enjoy them, thanks for looking!

More Celine

So, after much time photoshopping I have come up with the photos that I like. Please let me know what you think. Are they too dark? Should I have gone the opposite way and blown out the backgrounds rather than darken them? I like the fact that the model stands out in the photos, but maybe if we shoot together again, I can go a different way and make the backgrounds match/complement the model better (not that I had much of a choice inside the convention hall, sigh...). Thanks for the shoot Celine, I hope to work with you again in the future.

Celine

Here is a photo of a girl with awesome style. I saw her walking by at Fanime, and thought of a acquaintance of mine, Jesse Bodas of Destroy Inc. If you don't know who that is, google Destroy Inc. I will warn you that his site is in the rated R age range. I really enjoy his work and hope to be able to shoot a style similar to it. This is just the first photo that I finished, with such a busy school/work schedule, I am limited editting time. Hope you like it. More to come.
