X-23

X23-18

WOW!  Has it been a long time.  Between trying not to get fired, moving, getting another job, and planning out a trip to the east coast, it has been HECTIC~!  It has been nearly a quarter of a year since my last post, and although I have been looking at the site every now and then, I am ashamed that I have not been able to pick up a camera, edit any photos, or work on either web blog that I have.  Life has been just to crazy, and I thought my university days were packed.

Here are some photos from Fanime 2012.  I know that it was ages ago since I took them, but the models did such a wonderful job it would be such a shame not to show them off.  I still have a few more groups of photos, but am in the middle of moving from the East Bay (CA), to San Francisco.  It has been hard and time consuming, but hopefully now that I'm moving to the city, I will be able to have more time to set appointments and take more photos.

I cannot remember much from these shoots, other than they were fun and I met with a ton of awesome people.  X23 (X-Men) was being portrayed by Rochelle Anne, quite popular on the net, just 'google' her.  Again, the costume was really well done.  If you notice the claws/blades from her feet, they are actually magnetic and she can pull them on and off as she pleased.  Really ingenious!  Hope you like the photos, and thanks for sticking with me!

Puelli Magi Madoka Magica

Madokatachi-11

Surprisingly enough, these two cosplayers were part of the previous posts group.  I understand that they are not doing Aquarion Evol, but they were still part of that group.  If the post didn't give it away for you, the anime they are playing from is Puelli Magi Madoka Magica.  Photoed above we have the characters Madoka Kaname(left) and Homura Akemi(right ).

Again, I only got singles of the Madoka, because Homura ran away.  I must be doing something wrong.... hehe.  Again, thanks to Cass H.!  Enjoy!

Zessica Wong

ZessicaWong-2

As promised in the previous post, here is Zessica Wong's singels.  Not much to say other than this model was really easy to work with, and took direction really well.  I hope to run into her again because of this.  Again check out her other posts of Pirotess and Group Shots of Aquarion Evol.

A very special thanks to her cosplay group and my assistant Cassandra H. for helping me with the lighting.

Aquarion Evol

AquEvo-2

So again on day two of Fanime, I was able to run into some cosplayers that I ran into on the previous day.  This time they were doing Aquarion Evol.  Admittedly, I don't know much about the anime.  More so, I typically try to avoid anime that have "Aqua" in the title.  I found that I didn't really prefer any of them.

If you don't recognize her though, the Zessica Wong, pictured above with the green hair, was Lodoss War's Pirotess.  This group will show up again this day to do a Slayers tribute as well, but that will be later.  The girls were fun to shoot, and had many ideas that they wanted to see come to fruition.  I hope that I did them justice.

Also, I only got Ms. Wong singles... the other two ran off to change while I was shooting her.  Oh, well.... Enjoy the photos!

Final Fantasy XIII / 2 Serah Farron

Serrah Farron-10

If you have been following my blog, then you may recognize this cosplayer from Fanime 2012 (Day 1).  If you don't recognize her, then click One Piece's Perona to see her other post.  Again, she did a lovely job on the character.  From dress to weapon, just spot on.

The character is Serah Farron from Final Fantasy XIII and XIII-2.  This specific costume is from the second game.  She goes from a side character to the main protagonist.  In the game (2) her bowsword goes from bow to sword for her to have a bladed weapon.  Play the game if you have any interest.  Hope you enjoy the photos!

Yoko's Back

Yoko Littner-7

She's back!  Looking tougher than ever!  As I said before, this is one of my favorite costumes to shoot.  I would like it to be changed up every now and then, but the cosplayers are always good to shoot.  When I say change up, I mean the maid version, or the teacher version would be cool to shoot to.  As said before though, the original is never bad.  Although, the hair was giving us a little difficulty... sigh....

Special thanks to Cassandra H, for all her help with the lighting.  Also, thanks to the model, and her overseer.  To protect her from unwanted booty shoots...  Enjoy!
